Protecting People, Land, and the Future We Share

Rural Virginia has a new advocate — and it’s all of us. The Rural Virginia Coalition has officially formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving and protecting the land, environment, and communities that define our region. Built by neighbors, landowners, and local advocates, the Coalition exists to ensure rural Virginians have a meaningful voice in decisions that impact their quality of life. Through education, outreach, and community‑driven action, we stand together against harmful infrastructure projects and for a future where people and place come first. This is a movement rooted in cooperation, respect, and shared responsibility — because when it comes to protecting rural Virginia, we’re all Team Human.
