Our Story
Rural Virginia Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educational and charitable work that strengthens and protects rural communities across the Commonwealth. We bring together residents, landowners, and local organizations to ensure that people and place remain at the center of decisions affecting rural Virginia.
Our Mission
Our mission is to preserve and protect rural Virginia’s environment and residents from harmful infrastructure projects that threaten land, communities, and quality of life.
Our Vision
We envision a rural Virginia where communities retain a meaningful voice in decisions that affect their land, environment, and future. We work to foster cooperation among individuals, communities, and organizations while honoring the diverse perspectives, traditions, and experiences that define rural Virginia.
